Organizational for Industrial Spiritual and Cultural Advancement (OISCA) students of Japan visited Abra to get acquainted with different schools in the province.
Today, (December 2, 2019), 33 students and two teachers of OISCA bond with ASISTians and teach them how to make origami, a type of paper folding.
“It was fun teaching them,” OISCA student Nicole Ozaki said.
Meanwhile, Lyka Belleza, grade 11 of ASIST said she enjoyed bonding and learning with the Japanese students. According to Lyka, their Japanese counterparts were very friendly and approachable. “Language barrier, is not a hindrance for us to understand each other,” she added.
OISCA Provincial Director Delfin Tesoro said students will stay in the province for ten days to roam around. During the school visit, they will plant tree at ASIST Lagangilang campus. Tesoro added that this activity is one of the requirements for graduation..
Last November 29, 2019, Vice Governor Ronald Balao-as warmly welcomed the guests with a short program where he proudly introduced the tourist spots of Abra.
