There were no untoward incidents monitored or reported brought by Severe Tropical Storm Ramon as of November 19, 2019, based on the consolidated reports of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officers (MDRRMO) and other members of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC).
However, PDRRMC Emergency Operations Center is maintaining Red Alert Status. Based on the latest update from PAGASA, the province will experience moderate to heavy rains caused by STS Ramon today which may bring possible flooding and landslides.
PDRRMC chaired by Gov. Joy Bernos is coordinating with MDRRMOs in monitoring incidents. Pre-Disaster Risk Assessments were conducted. Based on the reports, light to moderate rains were experienced in the different municipalities and there were no damages as of November 19, 2019, 10am.
The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), Social Welfare and Development (SWAD), and Red Cross-Abra assured food and non-food items are readily available for emergencies. Medicines are available at DOH-Abra and emergency responders were on duty. Three ambulances are ready for deployment.
The Search and Rescue personnel are on alert and standby from Abra-PPO, BFP, and 24th IB. Heavy equipment from Department of Public Works and Highways and Provincial Engineer’s Office are ready in any possible landslides and flooding incidents.
