Out of eight events of archery, Abra made a mark on seven events and grabbed the following medals in the CARAA 2019 held at Apayao, on February 26-March 2, 2019: Two gold medals in 30m, and 40m distance; three bronze medals in 60m distance,1440 round, and individual match play, and, two silver medals in team match play, and mixed team event.
Wynnter Benedito was awarded the Most Improved Player during the CARAA 2019. She will be will be competing at the Palarong Pambansa 2019.
Benedito’s teammates were Aubrey Ann G. Gallo, Nina Alexander B. Laguinday, Reins Bert Burgos, Rochele Burgos, Dave Vidayan, Reymark Biares, and Amante Cay-an.
Coach Clint Sayo said, she has exceedingly improved. Her training and exposure to the World Archery Philippines and Philippine Archery Cup competitions will be her edge in dominating the Palarong Pambansa.
Wynnter Benedito, 15, an honor student of Abra High Special Science Class dreamed to be a part of the national team for the World Youth Olympics. She wants to inspire the youth to engage in archery and give pride to Abra.
She is the youngest of the three daughters of SBM Walter S. Benedito and Maria Pamela Peig-Benedito of Bangued.
