The Provincial Government of Abra headed by Gov. Joy Bernos, LGU-La Paz, DOST, and TESDA-Abra provide enhancement training on tropical fruit processing, and operation and maintenance of fruit dryer equipment on June 25-26, 2019, at Poblacion, La Paz.
This is an initial project of the provincial government for its “Food for the Table” livelihood program.
Trainers from TESDA-Abra equip the members of the Rural Improvement Club of La Paz on fruit processing using the fruit dryer from the DOST-Abra, according to Marites Bobila of the Provincial Planning Development Office enterprise division.
With the proper training programs and equipment, they will be able to process dried mangoes, pineapple, cotton fruit (santol), kamias (pias), and other tropical fruits for the market.
