COMELEC-Abra reminded the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), watchers, and media practitioners of the electoral rules at polling places for the Election Day at the briefing held at the Office of Provincial Election Supervisor on May 7, 2019.
COMELEC emphasized that May 11 is the last day of campaigning. Campaign shirts and materials are not allowed inside polling places on Election Day.
Devices with cameras are allowed but not inside the polling precincts to protect the sanctity of votes.
Voters should use the secrecy folder while shading their votes. Exposing votes is an electoral offense. Barangay and SK officials are allowed to stay 50 meters away from the polling places.
The Electoral Boards shall be notified of any important concerns during the election.
COMELEC asked the cooperation of the watchers, media, and PPCRV for smooth election procedures.
