Social Welfare and Development (SWAD)-Abra monitors the 12,120 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries to improve their education, health, and family development.
Social Welfare Officer Maribeth M. Tulic said the 4Ps beneficiaries must attend the Family Development Sessions (FDS) to empower them with values formations like responsible parenthood and family planning. Other agencies also provide awareness on health, sanitation, environment, and disaster preparedness through FDS.
Children under 4Ps should go to school regularly and have regular health check-ups, immunization, and deworming especially five years old and below.
Tulic said, there is 80-98% compliance rate from 12,120 4Ps beneficiaries or households in the province.
4Ps is a national program that provides conditional cash grants to underprivileged households who have children 0-18 years old. Households can receive P2,400-P5,200, depending on the number of children.
