January 25, 2019 – The Philippine Red Cross-Abra Chapter conducts a Psychosocial Support for Humanitarian Workers at Origines Hotel and Restaurant with Dr. Zenaida Beltejar, PRC Director for Social Welfare Services served as resource speaker.
The program is intended for PRC-Abra staff, directors, volunteers, and individuals that were mobilized during the onslaught of #OmpongPh in the province. The activity is the venue for the humanitarian workers to unload the pressures, weariness, or anything that causes pain on their part.
“While it is true that we want to help others during disasters, we also intend to help the helpers,” PRC-Abra Chapter Head Ivy Venus Avendaño, said.
Clauden Bittanga, one of the PRC-Abra staff had this to say, “There really are a lot of stress that surround us and this kind of workshop helps us cope and teaches us to manage stress”.
