Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Abra conducted the regular monitoring of five main business establishments selling Christmas lights in Bangued today December 12, 2018.

The inspection is a weekly monitoring activity of DTI to ensure the public that all brands of Christmas lights in the market passed the quality control issued by the Bureau of Philippine Standards (BSP).

Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) is a sticker given by BSP to certify the imported product passed the laboratory testing while Product Standard (PS) is marked for Philippine-made or local products.

DTI Designated Information Officer Marcus Rex Hall warned the public not to patronize substandard or uncertified products. “Checking the label and sticker of a product is a wise attitude of a buyer,” Hall added.
