Athletes during the #CARAA2018 chose to compete barefoot. The barefoot athletes included Abra Stallions Athletics Izzy Tuazon, Trisha Mae Gaban, Lea Venus Blaza, Ariane Faye Mapa-os, Princhel Joy Oca, Flora Mae Allita, and Mark Johnsel Megallon.
The PGA through Gov. Joy Bernos provided Asics shoes for the Abreño Athletics athletes earlier this month. Unfortunately for Izzy, Trisha, and Johnsel, there were no available shoes for 22cm sizes.
But it was never a problem for these athletes who opted to compete without shoes since they’ve been barefoot runners from the beginning of their careers.
