The Provincial Government of Abra, through the Provincial Health Office (PHO) led by Dr. Frances Marie Alexis B. Gasa, in partnership with the Municipality of Bucay led by Mayor Andrea Ma. Francheska Bernos, further intensified Oplan Taob and its community clean-up drive against dengue on August 18, 2026. The strong collaboration between the Provincial Government and the LGU of Bucay has fortified efforts to prevent dengue by eliminating potential mosquito breeding sites.

Vice Governor Anne Bersamin, Mayor Andrea Ma. Francheska Bernos, and Vice Mayor Judor Zales, together with municipal officials, health workers, volunteers, and community members, joined the activity to promote cleanliness, environmental responsibility, and dengue prevention.

Through strengthened local collaboration and collective action, Abra continues to protect communities from dengue. Together, we can keep our communities clean, safe, and dengue-free.
