From Peรฑarrubia, Abra, the centuries-old artistry of the Itneg community takes a place on the global fashion stage through UNIQLOโs first clothing patch collection celebrating Philippine indigenous craftsmanship.
Among the featured designs are the Kukko patterns, geometric motifs inspired by the Itneg peopleโs agricultural way of life; symbolizing productivity, perseverance, and hard work.
A total of 1,000 Kukko patches were crafted collectively by Itneg artisans and launched as part of the collection on August 1, 2026.
Adding pride to Abraโs representation is Luis Agaid Jr., Cultural Master of the Itneg School of Living Tradition in Abra and the only weaver representing Luzon in the collection.
