The Provincial Health Office (PHO), in coordination with the Department of Health (DOH) and local government units (LGUs), convened the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) Phase 3 on September 24, 2026, at the Abra Provincial Capitol Social Hall.

The activity brought together health stakeholders to assess the implementation of the MR-SIA, identify gaps, and strengthen strategies to improve immunization coverage and protect children across the province.

A highlight of the gathering was the Regional MR-SIA Awards, recognizing nine Abra municipalities,Bangued, Lagayan, Sallapadan, Danglas, Dolores, San Isidro, Langiden, Villaviciosa, and La Paz, among the Regional Top 10 for their performance in implementing measles-rubella immunization initiatives.

Through data-driven assessment, collaborative planning, and sustained commitment to immunization, Abra continues to strengthen efforts to protect children and build a healthier province.
