Officials from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU), led by NARTDI Executive Director Venelyn Bersamira and SRDI Executive Director Cristeta Gapuz, paid a courtesy call on Governor Eustaquio Bersamin and Vice Governor Anne Bersamin on July 20, 2026, at the Abra Provincial Capitol.

The meeting centered on strengthening collaboration in establishing a demonstration apiary and advancing the province’s sericulture industry; initiatives aimed at creating sustainable livelihood opportunities, promoting agricultural innovation, and empowering local communities.

Governor Bersamin and Vice Governor Bersamin reaffirmed the Provincial Government’s commitment to partnering with academic institutions in developing programs that uplift Abra’s farmers and drive inclusive rural growth.
