The Provincial Government of Abra, through the Provincial Engineering Office, distributed 48 safety life vests to riverine communities in Barangay Palang, San Quintin and along the Lagayan–Barangay Pang-ot–Barangay Collago routes.

This initiative enhances passenger safety, strengthens disaster preparedness, and ensures safer river travel for communities that rely on water transport every day.
