The Department of Agriculture–Regional Field Office Cordillera Administrative Region (DA-RFO CAR), through its Research Division, conducted a three-day training on Participatory Performance Testing and Validation (PPTV) from September 22–24, 2026, at the Abra Provincial Capitol Social Hall.

Under the NextGen Project, the activity brought together rice farmer-cooperators, data gatherers, and technical personnel from Abra, Apayao, and Kalinga to strengthen their skills in trial establishment, field data gathering, and technology validation.

Led by Project Leader Veronica F. Fangasan, the training also introduced advanced data analysis using STAR and RStudio, reinforcing accurate and science-based evaluation of rice technologies and varieties.
