The Provincial Government of Abra, in partnership with the Civil Service Commission (CSC), kicked off the Inter-Agency Sports Festival on September 18, 2026, at the Abra Sports Complex in Bangued, as part of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.

The celebration opened with an energetic Zumba session and a lively parade of teams, setting the tone for a day of unity, camaraderie, and sportsmanship.

CSC-Abra Field Office Director Ruby Verceles highlighted the value of unity among government workers, while Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Luis Jorobots Bersamin IV, Chairperson of the Committee on Sports, emphasized that beyond winning, sports teach fairness, respect, discipline, and integrity.

The festivities continued with a spirited Cheering Competition, showcasing the creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm of participating groups.
