The Provincial Government of Abra, through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross – Abra Chapter, conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) – CPR with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Standard First Aid Training for Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel on May 26, 2026.

The training strengthened the emergency response capabilities of PNP personnel by equipping them with essential life-saving skills and proper medical intervention techniques during emergencies and disaster situations.

Representing Governor Eustaquio P. Bersamin, Provincial Assistant Administrator Atty. Israel Bonite underscored the importance of continuous capacity-building programs to ensure swift, effective, and reliable public service in times of crisis.

The initiative reflects the provincial government’s continued commitment to disaster preparedness, inter-agency collaboration, and safer communities across Abra.
