The Protected Area Management Board (PAMB), chaired by DENR-CAR Regional Executive Director Engr. Paquito Moreno Jr., held its 2nd Quarter Regular Meeting on May 21, 2026 at the Solid North Building in Bangued, Abra.
Representing Governor Eustaquio Bersamin was Atty. King Blas Jervin Pagtailan, while Mayor Pope Cardenas represented Congressman Joseph Sto. Niรฑo Bernos.
The meeting focused on strengthening park management initiatives, proposed environmental programs, and measures addressing ecological concerns within the protected area. A multi-agency agreement among the DENR, Provincial Government of Abra, and Bangued Water District was likewise presented and adopted to further enhance coordination in protecting and sustaining the Casamata Hill National Park.
The gathering reaffirmed the shared commitment of partner agencies and local government units toward preserving Abraโs natural heritage for future generations.
