The Provincial Government of Abra, led by Governor Eustaquio P. Bersamin and Vice Governor Anne A. Bersamin, extended relief assistance to 3,835 families in San Quintin and San Isidro on August 19 amid persistent Habagat rains.
A total of 2,035 families in San Quintin, led by Mayor Amador Diaz, and 1,800 families in San Isidro, led by Mayor Marilyn Pacsa, received rice assistance from the National Government, under President Ferdinand βBongbongβ Marcos Jr., through the Bagong Pilipinas program and Local Government Support Fund. The assistance was complemented by food packs from the Provincial Government of Abra.
Governor Bersamin personally led the relief operation with provincial officials and employees, in coordination with the municipal governments, ensuring that assistance reached families affected by the inclement weather.
