During the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at the Capitol Grounds, the Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal–Abra, led by FSUPT Francisco N. Copes, underscored the urgent need for vigilance amid a rise in residential and forest fires, some linked to kaingin and livelihood activities.

Admin Staff FO1 Sunshine May B. Adora reminded the public that fire prevention is a shared duty. Simple habits; avoiding overloaded outlets, never leaving cooking unattended, and fully extinguishing open flames can save lives and property. Government employees were also urged to champion fire safety in their workplaces and communities.

The Bureau of Fire Protection assures that help is always ready; but prevention begins with each of us. In fire safety, no one stands alone.
