In observance of the 2026 National Disaster Resilience Month, the Abra Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) spearheaded a Simultaneous Clean-Up Drive along the Calaba River on July 23, 2026. Partner agencies joined forces to clear waste and debris from the river and nearby waterways, improving water flow, reducing flood risks, and protecting the environment.

The initiative reflects the power of collective action in building a safer, cleaner, and more disaster-resilient Abra.
