Officials from the Department of Energy (DOE), headed by Senior Science Research Specialist Joel Miguel, paid a courtesy call on Governor Eustaquio P. Bersamin on June 17, 2026, at the Abra Provincial Capitol.

The visit was in line with the ongoing geochemical survey in the municipalities of Tineg, Sallapadan, and Bucloc aimed at gathering vital data for resource assessment, environmental studies, and future development planning.

Governor Bersamin welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the Provincial Government of Abra’s support for scientific initiatives that promote environmental sustainability and responsible resource management.
