The Department of Economy, Planning, and Development–Cordillera Administrative Region (DEPDev-CAR), in partnership with the Provincial Government of Abra, the Department of Trade and Industry–Abra, and the Department of Labor and Employment–Abra, spearheaded the Trabaho Para sa Bayan (TPB) Plan 2025–2034 Cordillera Roadshow Validation-Cum-Action Planning Workshop on June 19, 2026, at the ASSIST Social Hall in Bangued, Abra.

The activity brought together representatives from Abra’s 27 municipalities, academic institutions, and private sector partners to formulate the Provincial and Regional Trabaho Para sa Bayan Action Plans aimed at creating quality employment opportunities and strengthening workforce development across the province and the Cordillera region.

Governor Eustaquio P. Bersamin, through Provincial Information Officer Atty. King Blas Jervin C. Pagtailan, emphasized the importance of collaboration among government agencies, local government units, educational institutions, and the private sector in expanding employment opportunities and enhancing the skills and competitiveness of AbreΓ±os.

Facilitated by Virginia L. Anceno, Supervising Economic Development Specialist of DEPDev-CAR, the workshop reaffirmed the government’s commitment to sustainable employment generation, improved livelihoods, and inclusive economic growth through strengthened partnerships and coordinated planning initiatives.
