The Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Cordillera Administrative Region (DENR-CAR) held its 3rd Quarter Regional Management Conference on September 9–11, 2026, at Hiraya Collectives in Bacsil, Bangued, Abra.

Bringing together DENR officials and PENRO representatives from across the Cordillera, the three-day conference focused on program implementation, operational and administrative concerns, and stronger inter-office coordination.

Governor Eustaquio “Takit” P. Bersamin welcomed the delegates and underscored the importance of collective action in protecting the region’s environment. Vice Governor Anne A. Bersamin likewise reaffirmed the Provincial Government’s support for responsive environmental governance, while Regional Executive Director Engr. Paquito Moreno, Jr. delivered the opening message.

The gathering also celebrated Abra’s cultural heritage through an Inabel fashion show, highlighting the artistry and craftsmanship of its traditional weavers and artisans.
