Let’s Act Now to Stop the Rise in Dengue Cases

The Province of Abra is experiencing an increase in dengue cases. Dengue is preventable, and every Abreño has a role to play in stopping its spread.

The Provincial Government of Abra, through the Provincial Health Office, calls on all local government units, barangays, schools, government and private offices, healthcare facilities, civic organizations, and communities to strengthen dengue prevention efforts.

Practice the 4Ts of Dengue Prevention:

* TAOB – Empty and scrub water-holding containers regularly.

* TAKTAK – Remove or dispose of items that collect stagnant water.

* TUYO – Keep surroundings clean and dry.

* TAKIP – Cover all water storage containers securely.

Help Prevent Dengue

* Conduct regular clean-up drives and eliminate mosquito breeding sites.

* Wear protective clothing and use mosquito repellents.

* Install window screens or use mosquito nets when needed.

* Seek immediate medical consultation if fever persists for two days or more. Early consultation saves lives.
