The Department of Agriculture–Cordillera Administrative Region (DA-CAR) is providing ₱55.43 million in Presidential Assistance to Farmers and Fisherfolk (PAFF) to 23,841 registered rice and corn farmers across Abra, with each beneficiary receiving ₱2,325.

The payout, led by DA-CAR Regional Technical Director for Research and Regulations Dr. Arlene M. Sagayo, SAAD Operations Officer Rosemarie Tesoro, and Abra Congressman JB Bernos at the ASIST-Bangued Gymnasium, aims to help farmers cope with rising fuel prices and increasing production costs.

Implemented over seven days across the province, the second day of distribution benefited farmers from Danglas, Pidigan, La Paz, San Quintin, Langiden, and Lagayan, reaffirming the government’s continued commitment to supporting Abreño farmers.
