


The Provincial Government of Abra, in partnership with the Regional Gender and Development Council led by the Department of HealthโCAR, culminated the 2026 National Womenโs Month celebration on March 31 at the ASIST Gymnasium. The event gathered partner agencies, advocates, stakeholders, and pregnant women to promote gender equality, social inclusion, and a compassionate society.
Delivering the Governorโs message, Atty. King Blas Jervin C. Pagtailan highlighted the strength, sacrifices, and contributions of women, while emphasizing that dignity, respect, and protection must extend to all, regardless of gender. Representing Vice Governor Anne A. Bersamin, IP Board Member Hon. Jearimat Cleopatra C. Balao-as called for sustained efforts toward inclusivity, particularly for marginalized and indigenous communities.
The program also offered free services from national line agencies, underscoring the governmentโs commitment to accessible and people-centered public service. These initiatives reflected a shared dedication to empowering all sectors of society through meaningful action and support.
As the celebration concluded, participants were encouraged to carry forward the advocacy for equality, empathy, and respect beyond Womenโs Month, helping to build communities where every voice is heard, valued, and uplifted.
