The Provincial Government of Abra, in partnership with the DENR, Protected Area Management Board (PAMB), and Bangued Water District, officially held the groundbreaking ceremony for the development of Casamata Hill National Park; marking another milestone in the provinceโ€™s efforts to promote sustainable tourism, preserve heritage, and create greater opportunities for the community.

The ceremony was solemnly led by Most Rev. Leopoldo C. Jaucian, while Governor Eustaquio Bersamin and Vice Governor Anne Bersamin spearheaded the initiative together with the support of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and Congressman Joseph Sto. Niรฑo Bernos, represented by Mayor Pope Cardenas of Bangued, alongside DENR-CAR Regional Executive Director Engr. Paquito T. Moreno Jr.

The development project aims to transform Casamata Hill into a more accessible and attractive destination while preserving its historical and environmental significance. Local officials, stakeholders, and community members expressed optimism that the initiative will further strengthen Abraโ€™s tourism potential and showcase the provinceโ€™s rich cultural and natural heritage.
