The Provincial Government of Abra conducted the On-Boarding Workshop on Universal Health Care (UHC) Acceleration through Public-Private Partnership on July 2, 2026, at the Capitol Social Hall, reaffirming its commitment to accessible, equitable, and quality healthcare for every Abreรฑo.
The workshop brought together provincial officials, representatives from the Department of Health and PhilHealth, and key stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and accelerate the implementation of Universal Health Care. Dr. Marie Ofelia Alcantara, DOH LGUโPhilHealth Consultant, led the discussion on public-private partnerships, sustainable health financing, and integrated health service delivery to help build a stronger and more sustainable local health system.
Governor Eustaquio Bersamin joined Provincial Health Officer II Dr. Frances Marie Alexis B. Gasa, APH Chief of Hospital Dr. Rosauro Vincent Seares, provincial department heads, and health partners in reaffirming Abraโs collective commitment to a resilient, responsive, and people-centered healthcare system; ensuring that quality health services remain accessible to every Abreรฑo.
