The Provincial Government of Abra, through the Provincial Health Office, successfully conducted the ABRASA Referral Manual Review, Evaluation, and Revision on May 26โ27, 2026 at the Mt. Carmel Agri-Tourism Center in Pidigan.
The two-day activity gathered healthcare representatives from across the province to strengthen and harmonize the implementation of Abraโs referral system. Led by Antonio C. Japson Jr., with the support of Dr. Frances Marie Alexis B. Gasa and Dr. Rosauro Vincent P. Seares, the activity focused on improving referral policies, addressing operational challenges, and enhancing coordination among health facilities.
Participants from the 27 municipalities and five public hospitals shared valuable insights to improve patient referral processes, communication, transportation coordination, and continuity of care, especially in geographically isolated communities.
The revised ABRASA Referral Manual will serve as an enhanced operational guide in ensuring timely, efficient, and patient-centered healthcare services for every Abreรฑo.
