The Provincial Government of Abra, through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) led by LDRRMO IV Elmer B. Bersamin and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), spearheaded the Motorcade for Resilience and Search and Rescue Capability Showcase on July 27, 2026, in observance of National Disaster Resilience Month.

Anchored on this year’s theme, “Naghahanda at Kumikilos Tungo sa Panatag na Bagong Pilipinas,” the activity underscored the importance of preparedness, unity, and proactive action in building safer and more resilient communities across the province.

National agencies and local government units participated by showcasing their emergency response vehicles, search and rescue equipment, and operational capabilities, reaffirming Abra’s collective commitment to protecting lives, strengthening disaster response, and fostering a culture of resilience.
