The Provincial Government of Abra, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), convened the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children (LCAT-VAWC) and the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) for a two-day capacity-building activity on September 9โ10, 2026, at the Abra Provincial Capitol Social Hall.
With a welcome message from Hon. SP Jane Cecilia, LCAT-VAWC Vice Chairperson, the activity focused on strengthening local capacities in case management, referral systems, data reporting, and coordinated responses to trafficking, violence against women and children, and child labor.
Participants also worked on the 2027 LCAT-VAWC and LCPC Work and Financial Plans, with technical guidance from PSWDO personnel.
Through stronger councils and better coordination, Abra continues to advance a responsive protection system where women and children are heard, supported, and protected.
