Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Abra, led by Vice Governor Anne A. Bersamin, together with Sangguniang Bayan members and SB Secretaries from various municipalities, convened on June 18, 2026, at the New Legislative Building in Bangued for a special committee meeting to deliberate on proposed amendments to several key provincial ordinances.

The ordinances under review address the prohibition of liquor consumption in public places, restrictions on indecent public exposure, the regulation of videoke machines and other amplified audio devices, and the implementation of curfew hours for minors.

The meeting was presided over by SP Member Atty. Byron Alzate and attended by SP Members Glannie Domingo, Benito Nono, Mark Froilan Seares, and Luis Jorobots Bersamin, along with municipal legislators and legislative secretaries representing various local government units across the province.

Through this collaborative review process, the province seeks to reinforce existing policies that uphold discipline, preserve peace and order, minimize public disturbances, and protect the welfare of the youth and communities throughout Abra.
