The Provincial Government of Abra joined the Culminating Program of the 39th Cordillera Month Celebration held on July 31, 2026, at the Benguet Sports Complex in Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet, reaffirming its commitment to regional solidarity, cultural identity, and sustainable development across the Cordillera.

A highlight of the program was the State of the Region Address (SORA) delivered by Hon. Elias C. Bulut Jr., Governor of the Province of Apayao and Chairperson of the Regional Development Council–Cordillera Administrative Region (RDC-CAR). In his address, he presented the region’s accomplishments, ongoing development initiatives, and shared vision for a more progressive, resilient, and united Cordillera.

The ceremony also featured the symbolic turnover of hosting responsibilities, with Benguet formally passing the “pattung” to Ifugao, which will host the 40th Cordillera Month Celebration in 2027, signifying the enduring unity and cooperation among the Cordillera provinces.

The Provincial Government of Abra remains one with the Cordillera in honoring its rich heritage while working collectively toward inclusive growth and a brighter future for every Cordilleran.
