The Provincial Government of Abra, through the Provincial Health Office headed by Dr. Frances Marie Alexis B. Gasa, in partnership with the Provincial Department of Health Office, conducted a two-day orientation for Rural Health Unit personnel, Barangay Health Workers, and other frontline health workers on July 1–2 at the Gabaldon Social Hall, ASIST Bangued Campus.

The activity equipped participants with essential knowledge and skills for the upcoming Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR SIA) on August 10–28, 2026, focusing on vaccination strategies, mobile team deployment, digital reporting, and community engagement.

Targeting at least 95% vaccination coverage among children aged 6 to 59 months, the initiative underscores the Provincial Government of Abra’s unwavering commitment to protecting every child through safe, accessible, and effective immunization.
