The Provincial Government of Abra, through the Office of the Vice Governor under the leadership of Vice Governor Anne A. Bersamin, conducted a benchmarking activity at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU)โBacnotan Campus on July 1, 2026, to explore innovative livelihood technologies that can be replicated across the province.
The delegation included farmers and Municipal Agriculture Office personnel from San Juan, La Paz, Peรฑarrubia, Boliney, San Isidro, Villaviciosa, Tayum, Pidigan, Bangued, and Licuan-Baay, together with representatives from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Abra. Participants took part in technology transfer sessions and site visits on sericulture, apiculture (beekeeping), mushroom production, and other sustainable livelihood initiatives.
Through this initiative, the Provincial Government continues to strengthen community-based livelihood programs, enhance food security, and create more sustainable economic opportunities for every Abreรฑo.
