During the First Monday Flag Raising Ceremony on April 6, 2026, at the Provincial Capitol, the Abra Electric Cooperative (ABRECO), through Ms. Christine E. Alagao, conveyed both gratitude and a timely reminder to the public.

Speaking on behalf of General Manager Loreto P. Seares, Alagao thanked member-consumers for their strong support during the cooperative’s 38th General Assembly. She also highlighted ABRECO’s continued efforts to enhance consumer services, particularly through its Quick Request Team, which ensures prompt response to concerns and service needs.

Citing Institutional Advisory No. 4-A, ABRECO urged the public to adopt energy-saving practices as electric cooperatives nationwide implement conservation measures. These efforts aim to cushion the impact of rising electricity costs driven by global tensions affecting oil supply and energy prices, including ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.

ABRECO emphasized that collective action; through simple, everyday energy-saving habits can help protect households and communities from increasing power costs.
