Governor Eustaquio P. Bersamin and Congressman Joseph Sto. Niño “JB” B. Bernos convened provincial officials, the Department of Education–Abra, and the Abra Police Provincial Office on September 21, 2026, at the Provincial Capitol Atrium to formally launch preparations for the Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) Meet 2027, which Abra will host in April 2027.

The initial planning meeting focused on key requirements for sports facilities and venues, billeting, transportation, logistics, and security to ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming experience for athletes, coaches, officials, and delegates from across the Cordillera.

The Provincial Government of Abra, under the leadership of Governor Eustaquio P. Bersamin and Vice Governor Anne A. Bersamin, is further strengthened by the steadfast support of Congressman JB Bernos and Congresswoman Ching Bernos, together with DepEd-Abra, the municipalities, the Philippine National Police, and other partner agencies.

As Abra prepares to welcome the Cordillera’s finest young athletes, the province moves forward with a shared commitment to unity, excellence, and genuine Abra hospitality.
