On behalf of DOST Director Menandro Buenafe during the first monday flag ceremony at the capitol grounds, Engineer Aileen Malangen of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)  discussed their programs and services to the Provincial Government of Abra.

Among the programs were DOST’s Philippine High School National Competitive examination for grade 6 pupils with high aptitude in science and mathematics, DOST-SEI or Science Education Institute an undergraduate scholarship for grade 4 pupils who are willing to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics courses in the country; science scholarship for third year college students enrolled in STEM courses, and graduate courses for MH and PhD. Engineer Malangen also mentioned their small enterprises technology upgrading program for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises willing to upgrade their production facility.

DOST also offers laboratory analysis on water and products, packaging and labeling, calibration services, technology trainings, and consultancy services.

Engineer Aileen also thanked the Provincial Government of Abra through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council headed by Mr. Elmer Bersamin on the successful conduct of the Information, Education Communication Campaign for the Deployment of Early Warning Systems Project at Abra Sports Complex on July 30, 2018.
